For this project, I wanted to explore the meaning of my name, Hằng which means moon in Vietnamese. Since I knew my concept, I felt confident and successful in knowing what I wanted to fulfill. Although I had a few options for compositions and motion, I decided to go best with having a close-up of myself and the environment rather than me being far away. Although, having myself as the moon far away in a field or something similar, would also be fun. I did not use generative AI since what I wanted to ask for was not giving me what I needed. Therefore, all these images, I used online.
While not everyone can harness the power of the moon, a baby named Hang will certainly have a shot. This feminine name means "moon" in Vietnamese and is as rare as a total eclipse. Hang pays tribute to a goddess worshipped in Vietnam's Mid-Autumn Festival, held when the moon is at its brightest.

Firstly, the color gradient used in the artwork could have been more consistent throughout to create a more harmonious composition. Secondly, while the contrast between the clouds and the subject in the foreground adds depth and dimension to the artwork, it is too stark in relation to the background. Balancing the contrast and tonal values could improve the overall visual appeal of the artwork. The image itself works well as a portrait; however, I felt as though one or two more things could've been added to really create a depth of field in relation to the moon's meaning.
