I blended an ornate, monumental pavilion section from the Louvre Palace (Louvre Museum) in Paris, France, called the Pavillon Mollien, with the "Self-Made Man" statue by Bobbie Carlyle (located on UNCC campus).
This architectural blend explores individual agency and institutional history. Combining the Pavillon Mollien with the "Self-Made Man" produces a visualization of human determination. I aimed to position the grand, imperial architecture of the Louvre as a symbol of established societal structures, while the active figure represents the individual breaking free & shaping their own place within history. This blend produces a unique monument to willpower, personal growth, and the timeless struggle to carve out a legacy within a structured world.
