The concept behind this work was to show the connection that can be formed from various denominations of Christianity to form one solid body of Christians. Division in the church has always been an issue, but as time passes, more and more denominations appear. While I can understand the need for denominations, I sought to create a work that would remind people of the unity all three major denominations share in a fundamental belief of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
I combined elements from Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant churches. Various spires were blended to each be reaching towards the "heavens." In addition, many different elements of stained glass were added to enhance feelings of spirituality and bring a symbol of light into the work.
All images were taken by me.
