My concept for this architectural blend was to depict a piece about the mixture of things built to last and things built for profit. The cathedral is a front-facing piece of the west facade of the Cathedral of Chartres that describes how architecture was built to last for centuries and to stand the test of time, seeing as this was built during the Romanesque period. However, there is a combination of the modern house, which was so simple and clean that it was meant to depict fleeting architecture meant to be built quickly and bought fast. I added the fields to draw the eyes up to see the dynamism of the large cathedral mixed with a small home.
